Quote:
Book 1 in the Destiny's Kingdom series

What people are saying about “Destiny’s Kingdom:”

“My opinion on the genre of sci-fi was well in need of a lift... I was eager to find a book which would prove that the genre really is something for me - Legend of the Chosen seemed like the perfect book and it was definitely up to the task.”
~Amazon.uk

“I can’t wait to see what unfolds next!”
~Amazon

The end of the book left me wanting more. I can't wait to read ‘A Prophecy Revealed’."
~Amazon

a wildly inventive story that kept my attention from start to finish
~Goodreads

In a blended world of magic and sci-fi, this strongly character-driven story follows the quest of one man who must unite his fellow chosen to save his utopian world. Strong female characters and a distinctive setting makes this novel special in what might otherwise seem to be something you've seen time and again!

In the beginning the gods created evil
Left alone it grew vengeful
Angry, it sought to destroy all of existence
The Bethel galaxy is all that remains.

Bethel, the charmed central planet of the galaxy is on the brink of the year’s most anticipated event: the celebrated Twilight Bloom. Quade Decairus has no reason to believe that this year will be any different than those in the past: food and music, friends and the good cheer of those he loves the most. So why has he been plagued with nightmares of the end of his world coming on this very night?

Prophecies masked as legends. Impossible visions, bringing universal destruction. Only one man can seek those chosen to stop the evil and save them all.
In a world rich with magic and technology, a seamless blend of Fantasy and Sci-Fi, Destiny’s Kingdom explores Quade’s journey as he quests to save a galaxy that has always known peace and prosperity from a powerful evil only he can face.

Legend of the Chosen is book one in the Destiny’s Kingdom series

A short book (83 pages) from Clive Barker

The Adventures of Mr. Maximillian Bacchus and His Travelling Circus by Clive Barker
Free on Amazon US at the moment: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BP98EQM

Maximillian Bacchus is the ringmaster, ruler, guide and owner of what he considers the greatest show in the world. Traveling with a Crocodile named Malachi, a trapeze girl named Ophelia, a strong mane they call Hero, which is short for Hieronymus a clown named Domingo de Ybarrondo, who paints in a wagon pulled by a giant "Ibis bird," the troupe wanders from adventure to adventure with mythic aplomb. From the first story, in which Indigo Murphy, the best bird handler in the world leaves the show to join in matrimony with the Duke Lorenzo de Medici, to the fabled court of Kubla Khan, the magic never stops. You will meet a young apple thief named Angelo with magic eyes, and an orang-outang named Bathsheba, and a host of other amazing characters with names and personas cut like a patchwork quilt from the mythologies and dreams of the world. Though written forty years ago, these pages are littered with the same magical side steps that have always been woven into Clive Barker's fiction. Worlds not quit our own, and yet so real they ring with truth and leave you wishing you could step from your mundane life into that other place - into those caves of ice - if only long enough to catch Maximillian's show.

Illustrations by Richard A Kirk. Afterword by David Niall Wilson

Quote:
It’s 1939. The Nazis have supermen, the British have demons, and one perfectly normal man gets caught in between

Raybould Marsh is a British secret agent in the early days of the Second World War, haunted by something strange he saw on a mission during the Spanish Civil War: a German woman with wires going into her head who looked at him as if she knew him.

When the Nazis start running missions with people who have unnatural abilities—a woman who can turn invisible, a man who can walk through walls, and the woman Marsh saw in Spain who can use her knowledge of the future to twist the present—Marsh is the man who has to face them. He rallies the secret warlocks of Britain to hold the impending invasion at bay. But magic always exacts a price. Eventually, the sacrifice necessary to defeat the enemy will be as terrible as outright loss would be.

Alan Furst meets Alan Moore in the opening of an epic of supernatural alternate history, the tale of a twentieth century like ours and also profoundly different.

At the publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management software (DRM) applied.

For Frank Tuttle fans, not only is his latest Markhat book out (and discounted slightly to below 5 dollars), his All the Paths of Shadow (a kind of urban fantasy/steampunk with a lovely female protag and one of the greatest familiars ever imagined) is also on sale for $1.99. The thing was 9.99 when it first came out. The rights reverted to him recently and he has it up on Amazon so far.

I can HEARTILY recommend both series. Markhat is my favorite, but All the Paths is easily worth 1.99.

Edited to add: The new Markhat is called Brown River Queen and the best price I've seen is direct from Samhain, but I pre-ordered so I don't know the pricing at the moment.

Thanks. Hopefully they release more Bradbury as ebooks. I'm amazed that The Martian Chronicles is not available.
