Not any more, it appears. Eg, at the online store I generally buy my memory cards from (http://www.expansys.com):

ORA 2GB SD card: £10.95
ORA 4GB SD card: £19.95

ie the 4GB is now less than double the price of the 2GB.

It does seem that relatively few devices currently support the >2GB SD cards. Not a problem whichs exists with CF - they don't change the way they work at larger sizes.
