Keeping track of Amazon prices?

I'm trying to gradually rebuild my library in ebook form. I do this by picking up titles opportunistically when they're reduced. Is there any way of creating a list in Amazon which displays prices? The wishlist just has "show buying options", which is almost completely useless as I have no intention of going through checking prices title by title.

You might want to try http://www.shoppingnotes.com/. I use it to keep track of items I'm very interested in. It alerts you when the price drops.

Good site, Raven (assuming it works!)

Am I alone in thinking Amazon's interface is utterly terrible? It boggles my mind that they became the dominant force.

No, you're not alone. That's why I searched (and searched) and found shoppingnotes. It's worked twice for me, so I'll assume that it's good at what it does. There IS another way, which I forgot about; you could put any item you're interested in into your cart. Go back and remove it by saving for later (one of the two options - save for later and delete...) Each time you log in and go to your cart, the items on your waiting list will show any price changes, both up and down.

UK members can use zeezaw.co.uk which uses your wish lists on amazon and will alert you if and when an item drops below a price you specify. I've got a couple of good deals this way although I haven't used it for ebooks yet.

Amazon have a developer API that can return prices. I'm not sure if it has Kindle prices but, I can check.
If you can describe in a little more detail what you're looking for, I might be able to scribble up a page that does what you want.
