how to move my B&N library to the SD Card?

Hi, I have about 100 B&N books including about 70 free B&N Classics and to read my Chinese epub I had to copy several very large font files to the nook, so now the nook is very short on available space. I was wondering if I can and how to move the 100 plus book B&N library to my SD card to free up the nook's system memory. I still want all the books available at all time, so don't like the idea of "archiving", obviously I can just move all the B&N epub files from the system memory to the SD Card my documents folder - my question is if I move the files that way, every time I purchase a new book and click update B&N library, would the nook try to re-download all the old books again (as they would not be in the system main memory any more) or is the nook smart enough to know that I just moved the files on the SD card and not to download them again? If the nook is smart enough to know that I have them on the SD Card, do I need to just move these epubs to the My Documents folder on the SD Card or should I create something like a My B&N Library folder on the SD card (similar to the one on the main system memory) and move the files there to assist an easy recognition by the nook? Thanks in advance.

Copy them to the SD card, and they'll appear in the 'My Documents' section of 'My Library'. Then go into the 'B&N Library' section of 'My Library' and archive those titles. Or you could archive them on the B&N web site, and do a 'Check for new B&N Content'.

Since those titles will now be under 'My Documents', you won't have coverflow or title search available.

Is there some reason not to just archive the e-books that you don't want to read right now? That's what archiving is for: to get it off of your NOOK for right now, but keep it handy for a quick re-download whenever you want to read it.

Thanks, Doug. I dont mind loosing these coverflow thing. I know it's hard to understand for many, but I would like to have all the books available at all time and who knows where I will be ending into that there is no wifi at all (a desert island maybe) and I find myself suddenly wanting to read Great Expectations.

I have a related question. I use a Nook Simple Touch.

I wish to move my library to an microSd card in the Nook and then download more new books into the machine. If books exist on the SD card, will they be downloaded again as I download the new books?

Simply archiving is not an option as I will not have internet/wifi access for an extended period of time.

Going by what has been written in this forum, copy the books to your SD card, archive them on B&N's site to keep them from being downloaded when you download new content.

Your internet connectivity is a matter of indifference since you would not be connecting to B&N to download new content when you do not have Internet connectivity.
