LCD fade
Do LCD displays still fade if they get to hot while reading in the sun?

LCD displays do not fade when they get hot, they go black.
As LCDs are generally warranted for at least 50C panel temperature the display will probably be happier than you in strong sunlight. Furthermore, if it does go black it will recover when it cools. |

If you are talking about the early eInk screens (not LCD, which have never had this problem) that faded in direct sunlight, then, no they don't fade in sunlight anymore.
Even back then it wasn't all of them |
