It does seem like Waterstones and Kobo have done a good job with this transfer.
It is interesting that everyone reporting so far has only had to transfer a couple of books. I wonder if that's why Waterstones decided to close their store? :-) |

I had 17 books and looking at the order details, my last purchase from Waterstones was November 2011. At that time, some of the books were either not available or more expensive from Kobo. |

Agreed - there was no compelling reason to use the service. Like others I only used it when there was a promotion on and I could use up some vouchers that I had accumulated.
All my books (39) did transfer to Kobo as it happens. |

Ditto on the too expensive, ditto on the transfer (36 books) without a problem....

My books transferred fine. Really sucks though, as I used Waterstones to buy books hard to get elsewhere.
Worse. iBooks is pretty much like a last place also ran, because if the extra crap it takes to get books into there, plus the limitations on actually using the books you can buy. Quote:
Depends on the book. The books I bought from waterstones were much cheaper than elsewhere. For instance, the books I bought from them were under a pound, but sold for like $10 due to the publisher charging different rates to different countries (against the wishes of the author).
