KOReader on Kindle PW4, Exit Time

Hi All,

I have two PW4 and one has the KOReader 2021.05 installed and another one has version 2021.08.

I have noticed a strange thing, exit time of version 2021.05 is almost around 5-6 seconds, while any version after that has exit time of >15 seconds or so, I have manually downgraded the 2021.08 version to 2021.05 version and noticed the exit time was back to 5-6 seconds. After upgrading the same version to 2021.06 has the same issue of exit time >15 seconds.

try this on your side too and see if you are getting the same difference in exit time.
Looks like all versions after 2021.05 has some additional duties while performing exit.

Any explanation to this would be insightful.

Exactly, there were changes to the start script to stop some Kindle services to free more memory for KOReader. Upon exit they are restored.
