[QUOTE=ColdSun;667387][QUOTE=kathy6699;667023]

Kathy,

I did what you said and TIWLANPI1 is enabled already.

Dear Goldsun:

OK I got it.Be sure A81 RAM is 256MB. Half of it is for the system,the other part is to applications.So please don't open many IE windows,One will be better.Referring to video quality.We suggest 480P now.Next version we have improved a lot to support 720P.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Smile Wits A81 Screen Rotation firmware update instruction

Update instruction:

Before your update, please check your device. There are two modules screen, A and screen C from different suppliers. In order to compatible with these two. We have designed two firmware for screen rotation.

Check process: Start--setting--control panel--BSP information Make sure whether the last capital letter is A or C, then use the right firmware for update.

About how to upgrade firmware,have a look at it as follows:

1. Use HPUSBFW.EXE to format TFCARD, select FAT 32 format.
2. Copy document MLO to TFCARD

Attention: The document MLO must be the file which is the first one was copied to the formatting TF just now.

3. Copy the file ebootsd.nbo, nandboot.raw and nk.bin to TF card.

4.Insert the card to A81,Device power off .Then hold to press the update button (a small hole above the OTG connection)
5. Supply power ,then the device begin updating firmware. Release the update button when there shows “Start Bootloader Update ...”,

Attention:
1. Screen will appears the mosaics which pervade the full screen when updating, the top left of it will show “Start Bootloader Update…” Don’t worry,as long as you are prompted the message,the update is running normally.

2. Rename “TIEVM3530-logo.raw” to “Nandboot.raw” when the use of V1.8 and the previous firmware for updating.

Hi Kathy,

I've had a quick look at the Wirelession website and many of the devices there look quite interesting. Is the W1070 available now? Thanks.

Dear Jim-Beam:

W1060 and A81 are the product with the same firmware.It is already on the market now.

So don't hesitate to have a try.The electronics products from Wirelession are really very good,as it is a a professional foreign trade corporation for Variety MIDs.Our partner for the A81/W1060.

Any other problem will be welcome!

Best regards
Kathy

Nice device!! But with the use of Intel and Microsoft OS, this means the price is going to be higher. But it seems to me that it might out perform the up coming Archos 9. (can stand there products. How do you charge for options that should be free after purchase!?) I do have one question though, any reason why this verison is not use the 802.11n like the A81? Thanks

@Dvalin21:

Both of A81 & W1070 update for customers are without charge,Don't worry!

The reason why We don't support 802.11n is decided by our WIFI module which is WG7210.So maybe in the later version。

Smile A81 GPS Model

Our built in GPS model is G591C which support COM5 and 9600 baud rate.When you adjust your GPS for navigation ,pay attention to this.

Someone said Most of the GPS software support only the 4800 baud rate,Could you supply us with one for testing to improve our A81.That will be appreciated.

Kathy,

I wanted to ask the question, on the W1070, which Operating System is loaded on the device. Also since it is using an intel chip, would it be possible to load Window 7 starter? Thanks
