epub to doc

I used a free thing to get epub to doc but it had a lot of errors. Any views of what is the best way to do this? thanks, Frank

Depending on how much close you want it to look like the original ePub, you can use Calibre to convert to .rtf (changes some formatting), open in Word and save to .doc; or convert to .htmlz (keeps the formatting), but you need to change the file extension from .htmlz to .zip, extract everything, open the index.html in Word, then save to .doc. Either way you might still have to fix a few things.

Don't use Calibre to go from ePub > RTF. There is a bug in Calibre where the section space is lost in the RTF. The best way to do it is to go ePub > HTMLZ, unzip the HTMLZ and then load the HTML into Word.

Thanks, didn't know about that bug, don't really convert anything in Calibre.
