Google Play update for Icarus E653 ?

Hi everyone!

I'm a new member here and just wondering something about my device.

So i contacted Icarus regarding if a new firmware is released for my device and they send me a zip containing the Google Play update , which basically installs Google Play Store.

Now i don't really need the store , but it probably has fixes for bugs (i guess)


My question is , is the firmware update worth it ? Will it make my device slower ? Will it cause the battery to drain faster?

Can someone who installed this update , provide feedback on how the device responded after the update?
