Question How to choose a favorite format for my reader

When I have a book in more than one format (i.e. EPUB,PDF), Calibre always copies EPUB to the reader.
What is the way to change the prefered format for my reader.

Currently I have a lot of technical stuff, and I would prefer to use the PDFs.

TIA

Most Device drivers (under Preferences->Plugins->Device Interface Plugins) allow the list of formats supported to be put into priority order via their Customize dialog.

There is also the option when sending a book to specify the specific format to be used this time rather than relying on the default list.

Hm. OK.
I have an Oyo but I don't find a corresponding Plugin.

In the status line I can read that a "bq Avant" is connected.

That is the plug-in being used. Configure that one
