The Color Nook Could Be the Tipping Point

http://www.crunchgear.com/2010/10/25...tipping-point/

I don't agree with this writer's thought that the color Nook will hasten the end of print, though I do think he has a point in saying that a dedicated ereader that brings color into the picture in the right way can broaden the ereader audience. Think children's books, magazines, and textbooks. I'd be surprised if Amazon doesn't have something like this in the cooker, so B&N better not have the startup problems it did with the Nook.

What about Nook Newsstand. Is there something new here, or just a programming glitch? Hovering over Newsstand gets you a list you can choose from. Clicking on it gets you a "coming soon." If new this must connect with the color Nook.

That would also tie in with a color Nook. Add in cross-platform compatibility to further its value.
