New battery for Gen 3

Have searched the forum, and in various threads people talked about looking for an alternative to the shocking prices charged by bookeen for a battery....did anyone find either a cheaper place to purchase, or an alternative battery that works?

Many thanks

Don't mess with "compatible" battery, devices are made for one type of battery, if it's not exactly the same type it will be dangerous.*For the battery, and for you.

Look like it, right voltage. seams the same connector. But noting about the (damm, i can't remember the word!). Needs to be 1000mA anyway.
Most likely will work. But I would advise not messing up with batteries unless you know what you're doing.

Capacity?
Is it important? I'd say a battery with more or less capacity would just last longer/shorter... after all, the unit does not explode when the battery is old (and therefore holds less charge).

That's the first point.
The second point being the battery's ability to deliver the right voltage / intensity at a given time.
