New NKJV Apply the Word Study Bible: Live in His Steps. Currently Only $3.99.
Copyrighted 2016. Of course, the NKJV text has been around for a while. Don't know if any of the helps, like the maps, are new, but the concordance was copyrighted way back in 1995. There must be something necessitating a 2016 copyright, but what is it?
Digital list price is $14.99. So, the discount from the digital list price is 73%. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010R5R910/. |

I suspect that there are some features that are new. One thing that I don't remember seeing before is the specific introductory matter to books of the Bible. I would like to have that, but I wasn't going to pay even $3.99 just to have that. I do get the distinct feeling that study Bible publishers "recycle" a lot of material that they have published before in study Bibles. They'll get a Bible text (NKJV, NASB, NIV, etc.), throw in some "helps" used previously in other study Bible and some things that members of the editorial committee at the publisher have written (there's nothing wrong with that--some of it is rather good), and then slap on a new title. Viola, they've got a "new" study Bible to peddle to consumers. |

1162 Pages of the Collected Letters of C.S. Lewis. Volume 2. Only $1.99!
ADDENDUM: I just noticed that Volume 1 is also on sale for $1.99. Follow this link to see its webpage. Unfortunately, Volume 3 is not currently on sale. These two volumes on sale are must-buys for every Lewis student or admirer.
A source seemed to indicate that the digital list price is $16.48. However, that sounds like a regular price to me. At any rate, if it is $16.48, this is an 88% markdown from the digital list price. The Collected Letters of C.S. Lewis, Volume 2. By C.S. Lewis. Rated 4.9 stars, but from only 12 reviews at Amazon; rated 4.39, from 85 ratings at GoodReads. Print list price N/A; digital list price $16.48; Kindle price now $1.99. HarperCollins e-books, publisher. 1162 pages. https://www.amazon.com/Collected-Letters-C-S-Lewis-ebook/dp/B002FK3U6O. Book Description C. S. Lewis was a prolific letter writer, and his personal correspondence reveals much of his private life, reflections, friendships, and the progress of his thought. This second of a three-volume collection contains the letters Lewis wrote after his conversion to Christianity, as he began a lifetime of serious writing. Lewis corresponded with many of the twentieth century's major literary figures, including J. R. R. Tolkien and Dorothy Sayers. Here we encounter a surge of letters in response to a new audience of laypeople who wrote to him after the great success of his BBC radio broadcasts during World War II -- talks that would ultimately become his masterwork, Mere Christianity. Volume II begins with C. S. Lewis writing his first major work of literary history, The Allegory of Love, which established him as a scholar with imaginative power. These letters trace his creative journey and recount his new circle of friends, "The Inklings," who meet regularly to share their writing. Tolkien reads aloud chapters of his unfinished The Lord of the Rings, while Lewis shares portions of his first novel, Out of the Silent Planet. Lewis's weekly letters to his brother, Warnie, away serving in the army during World War II, lead him to begin writing his first spiritual work, The Problem of Pain. After the serialization of The Screwtape Letters, the director of religious broadcasting at the BBC approached Lewis and the "Mere Christianity" talks were born. With his new broadcasting career, Lewis was inundated with letters from all over the world. His faithful, thoughtful responses to numerous questions reveal the clarity and wisdom of his theological and intellectual beliefs. Volume II includes Lewis's correspondence with great writers such as Owen Barfield, Arthur C. Clarke, Sheldon Vanauken, and Dom Bede Griffiths. The letters address many of Lewis's interests -- theology, literary criticism, poetry, fantasy, and children's stories -- as well as reveal his relation ships with close friends and family. But what is apparent throughout this volume is how this quiet bachelor professor in England touched the lives of many through an amazing discipline of personal correspondence. Walter Hooper's insightful notes and compre hensive biographical appendix of the correspon dents make this an irreplaceable reference for those curious about the life and work of one of the most creative minds of the modern era. I'm happy to serve.
There were two or three books today that looked like good ones to post. Someone had posted a comment like yours the last time that I posted a Zig Ziglar book, so I thought that it might be the best choice of the ones that I saw today. |

Take a survey, get a valuable book free.
A very, very short survey, I might add. It asks about whether or not you've had experience caring for a disabled, etc. person. I answered "no" to the two questions, got no follow up questions, and that was it. Oh, I guess you'd like to know what book that you get. It is Practicing Affirmation, by Sam Crabtree. It is a $9.89 Kindle mobi at Amazon, and rated 4.6 stars from 58 reviews. Here's the linkage to the book's webpage at Amazon should you wish to peruse the information about it there. To take the survey, navigate to this webpage. |

I've got the basic Olive tree Bible+ app. Is the "Bible Study App" something different? (Or don't you know either, since all you did was watch the video?) Anyway, I have an account, so I clicked the link above for the free stuff, logged in, and it said it was added to my account. At home, I'll check the app I *do* have on my iPad, and see if I can download them.
Thanks! |

I've never used the app, just got a notice of the free app and some free bibles for a limited time in an email today. If it works out for anyone, please let me know.

Not to disparage anyone's comments above, because it is nice to point things out for newbies, but I think that all of the books in the Bible Study Bundle are always free at the Olive Tree website. In fact, there may be even more than what Olive Tree says are a part of this Bundle.
