Book Viewer Taking Ages To Open

A day or so ago Calibre began taking ages to open, so I uninstalled my old version of it and installed 3.48 (I have Win 7). Although the program itself now opens without problems, the viewer takes approximately ten minutes to open.

What could be causing this glitch and what can I do about it?

Thanks.

Could be a 3rd party program, like an AV program, poking its fingers into calibre's cache.

Try giving calibre a 'private' cache via the CALIBRE_CACHE_DIRECTORY Environment variable

If you use AVAST, it's probably that Ψ³

Thank you, the problem seems to have resolved itself. Funny thing is that I do have Avast; if it was poking it's fingers in, it seems to have stopped.
