how to stop T1 reader from going into sleep mode?

the reader keeps on going to sleep mode while I'm reading, is there a way to turn of sleep mode, I searched up for it everywhere in the setting but can not seem to find this option.

Thanks.

I believe the option to turn it off was removed this time around. Previous models had this option, but now it seems to be permanently set. After 10 minutes it goes to sleep.

Wow! how long does it take you to read a page if it's going into sleep mode while you're reading? I would have thought 10 minutes to read a page would be long enough no?

I understand your amazement at my slow reading speed however, I am reading a Japanese philosophical literature. Every page introduces many eastern maxims and historical persons which I must google up, hence in order to go through a page and truly grasp the meaning of every words I have to do a lot of external research.

I can assure you if I am reading low-culture novels such as Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings then I wouldn't have such a problem but I didn't buy this Sony reader to waste time on novels.

certainly not as special as you, who must tell others how many books you have read so far.

We may buy the same device but none of us use it in the exact same way. So it would nice if you stop impose your way of usage and expectation on others.

You are the one telling us that books we may like are low culture. That's insulting.

well you shouldn't feel insulted because that's how literatures are classified into high or low. Escapist fictions are of low culture. If you are insulted, then take it up with anthropologists with your publications on culture theory, I'll read it for sure.

Back on topic... couldn't you try to make it a point to highlight a word, bring up a dictionary (although it sounds not very useful to you given your content). Just try to touch the screen for any reason periodically to stop the sleep timer.
