Also, note the changes with text selection:
Quote:
* Text Editing
** Scroll bar scrubbing
Instantly navigate long documents, web pages, and conversations by dragging the scroll bar.
** Cursor navigation
Moving the cursor is even faster and more precise — just pick it up and drag it to where you want. It will automatically snap to lines and between words.
** Text selection
Select text just by tapping and swiping. For quick sentence and paragraph selection, triple‑ or quadruple‑tap.

No, but maybe it is time for Apple to start fixing the issues. Android is no better, but then I never expect much from Google. I do expect a lot out of Apple, because I pay a lot for Apple devices. I'm not sure why so many of you folks are so opposed to pointing out glaring issues. Maybe it is brand loyalty, but it seems ridiculous not to want them to make improvements. If we never complain, or we whitewash over the issues, they will never even get acknowledged, much less corrected.

OK then its time you took your complaints to Apple. That is a more appropriate place for them. Personally, I have not experienced the issues you describe, and I too have arthritis in my hands and wrists... The only issue I really have is the cost.

Interesting enough, apparently others had been complaining about some of these issues. Here is a quote from a MacRumors article titled “Hands On with Apple’s New iPadOS Software.”

Quote:
...selecting text can now be done by dragging a finger over it.

Selecting a word can be done with a double tap, selecting a sentence can be done with a triple tap, and a quadruple tap selects a paragraph at once. Double tapping selects elements like phone numbers and email addresses, and you can now pick up the cursor and move it wherever you want. There are new pinch-based gestures for copy and paste, and a new three finger swipe for undoing and redoing.
A good step in the right direction. Here is the video from that article.

Major improvements to the Files app bring new capabilities to the iPhone and the iPad. For the first time, you can access files stored on a USB drive, SD card, SSD, hard drive, or SMB file server and there's a downloads folder in Files where you can manage all your web downloads and attachments from Safari and Mail.

Apple added a Column View to the Files app that lets you see details for your files as you browse, and there's now an option to share entire iCloud Drive folders.

I’m pleasantly surprised that they’re allowing it on iPhone too. They could have used the excuse that the operating systems are forked now to make it an iPad exclusive, keeping third parties from making “storage cases”.

Though I guess nowadays internal storage is more for apps than multimedia, which people tend to just stream.
