N647 SD card image
Davidfor,

Would it be possible to send me the SD card image for the Kobo Wireless (the one with the 5 way navigation button).

Also as I am looking to increase the internal memory, would you happen to know if there is a limit to the SD card size you can replace the original one with. I am intending to replace it with a 32gb micro SD card if that is possible.

Sorry, I don't know what the SD card size limit will be for a WiFi. But, I would be surprised if a 32GB card worked. Not all 32GB cards work in the Glo which is two generations of hardware later. I'd expect the WiFi to have a 4GB or 16GB limit. But, it won't harm to try if you have the card spare.

Trying to get Kobo wireless going. could you send me link for the image and program needed to apply image to sd card. Also, is it neccesary to format sd card before applying image. my comp is asking me to do so?

Which version of the WiFi? There are three. The model number should be on the end of the device. It could be N647, N647B or N289. You need the correct image to get it working.

When you get the image, see Memory Upgrade Mod Guide. It is for the Glo, but the basic steps and tools needed are the same.

I have managed to brick my kobo n647 after firmware upgrade, i would greatly appreciate if you could share the sd image to restore it.
The s/w version it started out with was 1.9.11 (6/1/13), although that update was not displaying books, hence my (fumbled) attempt to upgrade to another version. Now I will get to open the device...
