It's unexpectedly sunny. It was predicted to be cloudy today with a chance of one or two showers. It's chilly at 4℃ at the moment, but it should warm up to 10℃ this afternoon.
Later this morning I'm heading to Amsterdam, so hopefully it's sunny there, too. |

Currently 32 degrees and snowing (per Accuweather, but I haven't looked out the window). Sounds like rain on my air conditioner unit. Continuing until some time in the afternoon.
It was cloudy on Monday but nice enough to take a walk in the park. |

The snow fell here from about 3AM until about noon. It was an interesting situation. The ground was still very warm from our recent warm spell, but the snow fell so rapidly -- more than an inch per hour for a while -- that it still accumulated to between 6 and 7 inches. It quickly collapsed to about 3.5 inches of heavy snow with the density of wet cement. The bottom layer was slush.
The afternoon high temperature was 41°F with a mix of bright sun and clouds which was lucky for us, since colder weather would have given us two or three inches of solid ice. I shoveled off the back deck, and I'm counting that towards my weekly workout goal. I usually shovel the driveway myself, but this time around we're having someone come by to clear it. Temps will fall below freezing tonight, so we will have some ice in the morning, but the forecast for tomorrow is for temps in the mid thirties and bright sun. After that we're due for a week or more of temps in the mid to upper forties, so the ice and snow should be a very temporary problem. |

Now at 10:15 PM: 35 degrees F. We had snow this morning, but by late in the afternoon there was no snow in my window view. I went out briefly tonight to see almost no snow, just a little in the garden beds that trees on our city streets are in.

Another overcast day today. It's 9℃ and from mid afternoon it'll rain. But since it's dry this morning I'm going for a walk in a little bit, because tomorrow it'll rain all day, so I won't go out unless I really have to.

Warm winds blowin',
Heating blue sky. And a road that goes forever. . . . 23 C, clear sky, low humidity, and light wind. Not bad for February. |

34 degrees F. at 4:00 AM. It was this cold during the evening when I was out. Still very much winter here. Temp will be going up over the next few days, but I expect colder weather again. It has been sunny the past few days.

Currently 6° and sunny. The weather folk are predicting a mix of rain, snow and whatever other wintry precipitation comes to mind starting tomorrow turning into heavy rain on Wednesday.

Yesterday was a lovely day, very sunny and a little bit cooler than we've had lately.
For today the prediction is mostly cloudy, but dry, and a little bit warmer at 12℃. From tomorrow it's going to get rainy, again, and windy, again. At least next week's prediction is looking good; dry and lots of sun. |
