Video: Transferring Books from Your Computer to jetBook and jetBook LITE

Hey everyone! I signed up for the ECTACO YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/ECTACO) and saw they uploaded a video on how to transfer books from your computer to the jetBook.

Its just under 2 minutes so my attention span was able to keep up Hope this helps anyone who has questions about it!

That may be the simplest way to do it, and is the only way to add to the built-in
memory. You may find that there is not that much room left in the built-in memory
though.

What I find more practical is to use an SD card to store my books, on my JBL.

While you can access a SD card you place in your JBL, in much the same manner
as was described in the video, there is a better way to do it.

The JBL has a USB 1.1 interface, while most current USB devices use the faster and
more reliable USB 2 interface. A USB2 SD Card Reader/Writer can be had for under $5.
So you can easily add an SD card reader to your computer, if it doesn't already have
one.

With the SD card being readable in your computer, you have no real need for the
cable. Once the SD card is accessed by the computer you have all the computer's
file handling functions available to setup your files on your JBL. It is easy to create
the folders and transfer (Drag&Drop) your files into what you want. Then you have
an SD card book library you can insert into your JBL. As time goes by you can update
and maintain the SD library on your computer quite easily.

Luck;
Ken

Agree with Ken, while the video is one way, it is the slowest way.

Start transferring more than 10 files and its much faster to go direct to an SD card.
By the time you get up over 1k of files your talking an hours time difference between the cable direct to jetbook vs SD card.

Yes, I use SD cards with my jetBook and jetBookl-Lite too. It works much faster than USB. I tried USB several times: It is OK when you transfer 1 or 2 books but too slow if you would like to transfer 10 and more books. It's a shame that Sony 300 has no SD card slot...

I definitely agree that the SD Cards is much faster for us who are gadget fans. But imagine people who dont even know that a jetBook has an SD Card slot lol.

This demo does show how to easily do it though if you dont have an SD.
