Tag Synchronization

Yes, me again with my ongoing tag problems. I just can't get to the bottom of why this happens, but sometimes while doing the initial formatting of a particularly large book, my 505 goes reboots itself and when it wakes up - voila, no tags!

I'm wondering if there is a way that I can plug my device in with Calibre running and just have it synchronize the metadata, including the tags? This would also be helpful when I decide to change some tags on books in my Calibre library that are also on my 505 or memory stick.

Preferences->Add/Save->Sending to device set metadata management to automatic

That's one of the reasons I stopped using LRF files.
