Are you happy with YOUR new iRex Digital Reader?
I would like to survey the owners of the new ereader.
Are you happy with YOUR new iRex Digital Reader? (Somehow, the title of the poll came out different, don't mind it. ) Last edited by Over; 10-17-2008 at 04:11 PM. |

One extra one could be:
"Yes I am, but there is room for improvement" Since it DID meet -my- expectations, which were lower than some (most?) other early adopters... and I AM happy enough as it is now, indefinitely (if iRex goes out of business due to the backlash from their customer service ) but I'm very much looking forward to future improvements! |

As allovertheglobe my expectations were not very high: I wanted an eink reader that worked well with pdfs and this it does beautifully. But I am a little baffled with so short battery life.

I got it to read pdfs and newspapers. It does that exceptionally well. The battery is problematic, but I do have faith that that will be addressed to a large degree.
I wish my scribbles would merge and a few other niggles with the operating regime were sorted & that it would connect through usb better to non PC devices. It can on occasins be a challenge. Luckily for a lot of the time you can just drag and drop through a card reader. |

You might want to read over the threads (there are a couple) regarding battery life.
