etwas anderes: Zweitausendeins hat die DIE DIGITALE JUBILÄUMSBIBLIOTHEK 1.1 im angebot für 39,95 und seit kurzem gibt es bei www.versand-as.de neue software für die digitale bibliothek zum erstellen von html, epub, pdf, xml und rtf - alledings für 49,90

Bei 2001 gibt es jetzt die Digitale Bibliothek 5 (die mit dem epub Export) für 39,90 EUR, allerdings erst ab 30.11. wieder.

Wäre es möglich, auch die Linkstruktur vom SPIEGEL-Archiv zu unterstützen? Im Gegensatz zu den PDF-Versionen, die man abonnieren/kaufen kann, gibt's hier den Inhalt aller bisherigen SPIEGEL-Ausgaben in readertauglichem Format (aktuelle Ausgaben werden nach ein paar Wochen auch dort eingestellt). Nur halt leider auch wie beim Gutenberg-Archiv in zerstückelter Form ...

Mit kleiner Verspätung nochmal vielen Dank an Drenthe für seine Tipps.

Ich habe mit der modifizierten Version von gbde.py mittlerweile einige Bücher bei Gutenberg_de als html-Datei runtergeladen und dann via Calibre in epub umgewandelt und auf meinen Sony 505 gebracht.

Entscheidend war, dass ich in Calibre für den html-Import die richtige Codierung eingestellt habe: ISO-8859-1

In der von Calibre erzeugen Epub-Datei sind dank der richtigen ISO-Kodierung jetzt Umlaute, ß, Anführungszeichen etc. korrekt dargestellt.

Selbstverständlich: Ich hatte den den URL der Druckversion angegeben. Offenbar falsch. Als ich den URL ohne hasch- sowieso- reinkopiert hatte, war die htmldatei auf ein mal da.

Allerdings sind Buchstaben mit Umlauten weit und breit nicht zu sehen. Lauter Ersatzzeichen. DAS habe ich nicht gelöst. Weisst Du wie?

Hat das möglicherweise irgendwas mit dem verwendeten Zeichensatz zu tun? Sprich: ascii bzw. unicode? Ich kenn mich da leider nicht genau aus - am besten, Du schilderst Dein Problem im Softwarebereich oder bei "Erste Hilfe" nochmal - vielleicht findest Du da ja sogar schon die Lösung?

Genau das hat mich schon sehr genervt, diese häppchenweisen Bücher auf Gutenberg.de. Zu viel raunzen sollte man ja nicht, die tun das ja kostenlos für uns, und die Auswahl ist schon großartig - aber trotzdem. Ich habe schon mal die Seiten rauskopiert und mit Pages zusammengefügt und dann in EPUB konvertiert, das geht für Kurzgeschichten, aber für längere Werke ist das nichts.

Daher vielen Dank, ich finde es toll, wenn Leute, die so was programmieren können, es den weniger versierten wie mir zur Verfügung stellen. Ich habe gerade die Bände von Jean Pauls Titan (eines der umfangreichsten Werke dort) mit gbde heruntergeladen, dann einfach mit Calibre geöffnet und in EPUB konvertiert, und super-Ergebnis. Toll!
