VNC on EE to use as monitor duplicate, possible?

Hi,

I haven't been using my Edge for a long while, and I wanted to try to use it as an external duplicate of my pc screen, to dump text contents onto the eink.

I know we have the lcd2ink app, and I encountered this old thread -

about enabling vnc on the edge. I downloaded the old viewer from the link and installed TightVNC server on the pc, but to no avail, it would not connect. I did connect my android phone with the RealVNC viewer without any problem, but that viewer's apk would not install on the Edge.
Did someone else perhaps tried it and made vnc work on his edge?

I also saw this thread about a specialized vnc viewer for ebook readers, but it needs to be compiled and I have no idea how to do it -

I think this could be a great use for the Entourage Edge, any help would be much appreciated.
