Help jailbreaking new Kindle Voyage
unfortunately cracked my screen on my last voyage and just got a new one in the mail today...Back to the drawing board for a jailbreak.
I have Kindle Voyage with serial with # 9013 bought in Japan B013, 9013 Kindle Voyage WiFi KV I hit reset, skipped wifi set up, put on airplane mode, downloaded update_KV_5.5.0_initial.bin (523MB): from here http://www.mediafire.com/file/x7u2oa....0_initial.bin put it in the root directory of the kindle, but the update kindle stays grayed out...Cannot seem to downgrade. Battery is fully charged... I have also tried this after registering wi-fi and amazon account, Still stays grayed out. Do I have the right downgrade file? Link?? please advise. Many thanks Sam no matter how I have tried the update_KV_5.5.0_initial.bin file cannot downgrade my kindle voyage. When I replug the kindle into the USB after trying to downgrade...the bin file is no longer in the root of the kindle. Don't know if that's the right bin file or not...
