That indicates an SSL handshake failed error between Cloudflare and AO3. When I look at AO3's certificate, it shows as being valid from April 21, 2025 to July 20, 2025. I can connect to AO3 from my local computer so possibly a transient issue.

It's been going on for several months now.

So I tried adding the ^ at the beginning and I got an error message

54: Error: personal.ini Error 'Regular Expression Error 'global flags not at the start of the expression at position 1' in part ^(?i).*omega verse.*$' in line 'tags_modified=" blah blah blah

And I have it like

Spoiler:
Code:
 tags_modified=>(?i).*Protective.*$=>Trope: Protective

which does grab anything with the tag protective in it.. so maybe it just doesn't like the slashes?

Try replacing the / with \/ or // and see if it works then.

Okay, so I tried

Spoiler:
Code:
 tags_modified=>(?i).*Alpha/Beta/Omega.*$=>Trope: A\/B\/O Omegaverse

That didn't work

I just realized that I have

Spoiler:
Code:
 tags_modified=>(?i).*hurt/comfort.*$=>Trope: Hurt/Comfort

which is working...

I have these three lines to capture omegaverse tags

Spoiler:
Code:
 tags_modified=>(?i).*Alpha/Beta/Omega.*$=>Trope: A/B/O Omegaverse
 tags_modified=>(?i).*Omega Dynamics.*$=>Trope: A/B/O Omegaverse
 tags_modified=>(?i).*omega verse.*$=>Trope: A/B/O Omegaverse

I checked the bottom part of my personal.ini, cuz I only allow the tags I want through

Spoiler:
Code:
 tags_modified==Trope: Hurt/Comfort
 tags_modified==Trope: A/B/O Omegaverse

and that's what I have there...

I have no idea what's going on. Like it allows the slash in hurt/comfort through just fine

The key phrase is 'global flags not at the start of the expression at position 1'

Use: (?i)^.*omega verse.*$
Note the ^ is after the (?i) switch.

The site https://regex101.com/ is very good about explaining *why* a regexp is wrong. Click Python for the Flavor.

Note that a quirk of FFF/Python3 is that you end up needing ^ and $ more often than not to match full strings.

Tried this at the regex website and it still doesn't match up, and I tried it on the fanficfare and it didn't work there

Code:
 tags_modified=>(?i)^.*Alpha/Beta/Omega.*$=>Trope: A/B/O Omegaverse
I'm wondering if it's the slashes in the A/B/O. Cuz if I do ABO Omegaverse it works? (without the up arrow too)

Yeah, just double checked and this

Code:
 tags_modified=>(?i).*Alpha/Beta/Omega.*$=>Trope: ABO Omegaverse
works
