So, PRS-700 -> PRS-600?

I just bought the PRS-700, but now that PRS-600 is coming out, I'm wondering if I should "upgrade". Or will there be something like PRS-800 coming out?

What do you guys think?

If you like the 700, keep it.

The 600 is really an unknown quantity at this point, but the one thing in it's favor is that the screen clarity is likely to be better than the 700's, though it won't have the light.

The issue is going to be the screen clarity vs. the light. If you want the light and can live with a less clear screen, keep the 700. If you don't need a light and want a clearer view, get the 600. IMHO, the 600 is a stepdown from the 700, not an upgrade. I'd keep the 700.

I downgraded from the 700 to the 505. I was starting to see many, many dust spots which rear their ugly heads when using the light.

I also found I just was not comfortable reading on the 700 unless i always used a light. So, my battery life was lacking.

I am thrilled with screen clarity and battery life of the 505 and am happy to have switched. Im sure the 600 would be a treat.

By the way, i gave the 700 to a gal at work would never be able to buy one for herself (single mom). She LOVES it, and reads with no light all the time. Go figure
