Convert PDF to JPG for faster loading speed?

After installing CBZ plugin, I found out the fact that the buffering speed of JPGs is much faster than PDFs. Here I refer buffering to the time we sould wait on a page before turning to the next page to avoid appearance of the loading message.
So I tried converting one of my PDF documents to CBZ-compressed JPG files. The result is that in case of PDF, the buffering took about 3 seconds while in case of JPG, it just took about 1 second. Moreover the size of the document became one third of the original PDF.
But this converting work takes some time. Later new updated firmware can make CBZ plugin unusable again.
Is there someone who has done this PDF-JPG conversion?

I would suggest pdflrf. This tool can transform a PDF or DJVU file into a set of PNGs instead of LRF - just give the output file .ZIP suffix. Don't forget to change the width and height to correct irex's values 768 and 981 correspondingly (assuming you don't prefer fullscreen option). Then rename the file to .CBZ and enjoy!
