So, Booxtor carries both the Boox Nova and the Boyue Likebook Mars. The Nova is slightly more expensive, but has twice the internal storage (though no sd card slot). Most other specs look pretty close. Interesting.

I don't think you can buy it with your US bank account or it supports delivery to the US. As far as I know Tmall provides "directly buy" from Singapore and Malaysia.

I tried ordering from Tmall, but it doesn't allow overseas shipping. Do you need to ship to a forwarder?

I'm not sure if you need a forwarder or not. Maybe some items aren't supported.

I remember I watched a video last year. A Singapore Youtuber shared her taobao shopping experience.

Onyx Boox: Greater manufacturing tradition, better support than Boyue. I use Onyx Boox Note. The same processor, (1,6 GHZ, quad core) 2 GB of RAM. I am very satisfied with it. (The software is almost the same.)

I would be very careful about dealing with that site. They have a bit of a reputation. Not the kind to be proud of.

You would also do well to check out this thread which a member of these forums posted about their experience trying to order the Onyx Note soon after it first came out from Good Ereader. Not a pleasant experience. Buyer be warned.

I wasn't criticizing you. I was just linking to information which people should seriously consider before doing business with that site so that people can make an informed decision.

Unfortunately, a lot of people have been taken in by some of their deceptive practices.

At first glance, they have a slick website. They seem to have a long history in the business. And they are based in Canada... Because of all that, many people seem to believe that they are honest and safe to do business with.

Dig a little deeper and you find that all is not what it seems. That's why I posted those links so that people can decide for themselves before parting with their money and confidential information.
