"Change selected word to ....."

When using the spellchecker, and using the "Change selected word to ....." option, sometimes the main list of wrongly spelled words on the left is reset to the top of the list, other times the list remains where it was eg if correcting a word beginning with say "L", the list remains with "L" words in view minus the corrected on of course.

I can't seem to work out any logic as to when the list is reset to the top or not.

Can anyone advise please.

That sounds like the list is being refreshed when you change the word. This will happen if you change something in the book while the spelling checker is open. Then, when you correct a word, the list is refreshed.

Perfect answer. That's exactly what I was doing!

Sometimes when an error appeared only once, I thought it was easier to edit in the book.

It may still be if the word is long and no suggestions are near to the correct spelling.
