Calibre doesn't recognize iphone6

I am a relative Luddite when it comes to technology so I may be missing something obvious. And I've been looking thru the forums but haven't found the solution yet. Again, I may have just missed it.
I just updated my iPhone from a 4 to a 6 last week. I used Marvin on my old phone with Calibre with no problems, but Calibre does not connect with Marvin on the new iPhone. It says "cannot connect with the iOS device". I have updated Calibre (2.26). I have also made sure the latest iOS Reader Applications (1.4.7.0.0) and MarvinXD (1.2.4) plug-ins were installed according to the Marvinapp blog. (And, no, I am not plugging more than one device in at a time).
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated, again keeping in mind you'll have to put it in very simple laymen's terms!

@kdsksg - calibre version 2.3 is quite old (11 Sep, 2014), latest is calibre V2.26 (24 Apr, 2015) - I think the Iphone 6 was released around Sept/Oct 2014

Try installing latest calibre ==>> calibre - Download calibre

I'm not sure but I thought there were still issues with support for the newest IOS version.

My mistake...I have Calibre updated to 2.26 (I was using 2.3 with my iPhone 4). The updated version does not acknowledge Marvin on the iPhone 6 either. I tried reloading the updated version again, just in case but still nothing. Any other ideas or do we know for sure that the latest iOS is unsupported? (and if that's the case, how do I put books on my iPhone 6?)
