Forster, E.M.: The Celestial Omnibus and Other Stories. v1. February 2010

A collection of six short stories by novelist E. M. Forster, written between 1902-1910 and first published in United Kingdom in 1911. Forster's first collection of short stories is a departure from the realism of his novels, as he introduces elements of the fantastic, inspired by ancient Greece, Paganism and Paradise, into typically English Edwardian surroundings.

Edward Morgan Forster (1 January 1879 – 7 June 1970), was an English novelist, short story writer, essayist and librettist. He is known best for his ironic and well-plotted novels examining class difference and hypocrisy and also the attitudes towards gender and homosexuality in early 20th-century British society. Forster's humanistic impulse toward understanding and sympathy may be aptly summed up in the epigraph to his 1910 novel Howards End: "Only connect".

Thank you I've found that short stories are often the best way to discover a new writer. I guess I'll finally get around to reading Forster

You're welcome I'd like to recommend The Machine Stops as well. Despite the fact it's written 100 years ago, it's the most interesting critical comment on the Internet that I've ever read.
