I just took a photo of my "retro corner"
- THE most expensive book reading device ever - MicroVAX 3300 computer with the original VT420 text terminal. All in working condition. - an old phone I want to hook up in paraler to my very boring modern one - a slide rule. |

Mine comes from a photo, in wich I added an "O", from "Over" my nickname (or the be more specific, it's from "Overwhelming").
I don't remember why I chose this photo. It has years! |

I grew my own avatar!
I thought it was pretty and reflected the rural charm where I live. |

Nothing interesting about my avatar; I just happened to see the picture and thought, "Oooh, that'd be perfect for an avatar on Mobileread."
BTW, I also like Mucha so I really like Lilac_Jive's avatar, and Nate the Great's avatar with the cutaway of the Lego man is pretty cool too. I can't remember the persons name but the hands down creepiest avatar has to be the one with the slimy eels with their mouthsful of teeth. Lasty, TallMomof2's avatar is just a cat on a computer, but it sticks in my head -- probably because I agree with her well written posts about 95% of the time. Oh yeah, BOb's penguin sticks in my mind too, what is the story behind that? |

I asked my daughter who is minoring in art in college to draw an avatar for me and this is it. Very flattering. I was thankful she left off the wrinkles she and her siblings have given me over the years!!

*snicker* I can only imagine. I'm kind of envisioning you as the Therapist in Monk now.
