DJVU?

Hi guys,

Just bought my DR1000S (will arrive tomorrow ) and was wondering if there is any DJVU reading software ported to it...

Thanks!

Not yet. iRex has ported GTK+, so a possibility is porting evince, if someone figures out how to strip it of all that extra baggage. The iLiad had a variety of development options (Python, Java, Qt), so more apps are available there, including some that can read DJVU. Hopefully, the DR will get to that stage soon.

Nice... perhaps this could be a little contribution I could do in the future...

As soon as I have some free time, I could check the evince code a little bit... But I am not a good C++ programer though...

If you need to read the document right now, convert the DJVU to PDF. There is a freeware that allows you to print the document into PDF.

I have converted most of my DJVU files into PDF in order to be read on DR.

PDF is inferior to DJVU in filesize and speed. And conversion is a lengthy and messy process if you have many books in DJVU and they keep coming.
