Sending Metadata to Device appears slow
I've got 2400 books on my Kindle (a Paperwhite Basic 2 (2016) KT3). It's now taking on average 1 minute 30 seconds to send metadata to the device after adding / deleting books. The Kindle's about 2/3 full.
The transfer time seems to have slowed down quite a bit over the last year. Is this time in fact typical, or is there anything I could do to speed it up? Note - in order to carry on using Kindle Collections, the Kindle is in permanent Airplane mode, and the firmware version is 5.9.5.1. I'm not planning to update that. Any suggestions welcomed. Thanks. |
