It's a strange, strange world we live in, Master Jack
You taught me all I know and I'll never look back It's a very strange world and I thank you, Master Jack You took a colored ribbon from out of the sky And taught me how to use it as the years went by To tie up all your problems and make them look neat And then to sell them to the people in the street It's a strange, strange world we live in, Master Jack You taught me all I know and I'll never look back It's a very strange world and I thank you, Master Jack ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0WvX...7B518E8646A11C ) It really is... I often wonder why some people are always unhappy while others are always smiling. Everyone has problems. No one gets away easily. But some folks seem to wallow in them while others just swim to the surface... It's a very strange world we live in. Good morning, everyone! Saturday again and it's going to be a good one! I'm already on my second cup of unbranded Keemun tea, ready to visit the Food Lady, and the sun's gonna shine in my back door today! Extended fencing practice planned... Just a few more days before I fly down to Bangkok for the tournament. Then some music tonight with friends... It's gonna be a good, good day! The Thai military has lifted the curfew so the Kingdom can get back a bit more normalcy, though a curfew from Midnight to 4am really didn't have much effect on anyone other than the bar crowds. Still, it's nice to see that after all the Media hooha, once again nothing really changes here except the names of the players. Still, there are many people quite surprised to discover that the sky really wasn't falling. Stitchawl |

My child arrived just the other day
He came to the world in the usual way But there were planes to catch and bills to pay He learned to walk while I was away And he was talkin' 'fore I knew it, and as he grew He'd say "I'm gonna be like you, Dad You know I'm gonna be like you" And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon Little boy blue and the man on the moon When you comin' home, Dad I don't know when, but we'll get together then You know we'll have a good time then ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBcdBQM01pE ) Happy Father's Day! We were lucky to have this song as a reminder of how not to bring up our kids! Unfortunately, many didn't have the luxury of a different lifestyle. Good morning, everyone. We passed the Ides of June by two days, so I guess we're all safe for another month! Father's Day today, a delightful holiday that some say started in the US, (maybe yes, maybe no,) no celebrated in a hundred different countries around the world, but often for a different 'father.' This year, my son gets to celebrate his first year as a father, so on this morning I'll dedicate my cup of East India Company's "Royal Breakfast" tea to him. Well done, kid! And well done too, to all you fathers here. It's a difficult job for which none of us ever received adequate training. Somehow, most of our kids managed to turn out pretty well. Like Gibran said, 'we're just the bow. Our children are the arrows. We can point them in the right direction, but after we release the string it's up to them to fly straight and true.' Happy Father's Day! Stitchawl |

A bit of my special blend Russian Caravan this morning. A storm front rolled in overnight, and it's dropped 10C and a couple of cms of rain.
