Financial Times recipe fails since Jan 24

I have a subscription to the FT and have been downloading successfully each day until Jan 25 - since then, it's been failing.

Than again it looks as if calibre can not open the ft index page which points more to a conectivity issue. Check if you can open the ft page in the browser, disable any firewall, anti-spyware and antivirus software etc. Try downloading from another location.

kiklop74:

Many thanks for coming back.

I can open FT.COM in FireFox and get full access logging into my account. Connectivity is via ADSL, firewall/AV software is free AVG 2012.

Now, here's the weird thing - I just tried it again and it downloaded Saturday Jan 28 edition without complaint. I tried this several times earlier and it was a fail each time. My other Calibre downloads (Economist, Telegraph) had worked just fine.

It's odd because all other aspects of my Internet/Web connectivity have been functioning quite normally.

Thanks again.
