Just giving this thread a read now... Sarah -- unruly? Tcchh! Hard to imagine. Sorry. And after reading the quotes of posts, on both sides, sounds like a forum I'd want to stay away from.

I'm for MobileRead. Like others, I'd like to keep it in one place. If threads come up on other forums they can always be mentioned in order to redirect those interested.

My 2 cents.

Seems that there's just the one development thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1057206), but that one keeps perking along. It's worth checking from time to time.

As far as Edge Hackers Forum, it would be a sad thing for all of us if our forums devolve into that. I'll keep checking here and MobileRead myself.

And thanks to all of you for the support you've given in the past. Just reading previous posts is an education.

yeah, I'm hoping that given enough "hacking" on our parts they'll give us a whole sub-forum so we don't have to spam up general lol.

I agree. Try to get everyone to join MobileRead. The administrator on EdgeHackers is a bit too much like Squire Trelane. (hope that's not too obscure a reference, but it's the best fit I could think of) He isn't so much interested in preventing hateful comments as reserving the right for himself.

... bookmark wiped. Carry on.

lol I loved your comment about him making a blog, was the most fitting thing I've seen to describe him.(and yes, your other reference is too obscure for me lol)

I was afraid of that. It's a reference to an episode of the original Star Trek.

Ohmigod, you are one *serious* geek. I don't even have to pretend I didn't get the reference; I really ddn't get it. You have my admiration and my pity. (Take both; they're cheap.)

The actor who played Trelane recently passed on.
I guess I'm a serious geek also, or just a mature one?

There's no such thing as a "mature" geek, by definition.

Yeah, I've seen every episode of TNG, but very few of the original, I have to get to that sometime.
