Can I list by formats

I added a large group of books to Calibre. Most are in MOBI format, but many are MBP. Is there a way to just list by format so I can delete these in mass?

Not easy to do it quite like you describe. However you could do something like:
- Search using a term like "formats:mbp"
- Highlight the books found and use the option to delete a specific format - and pick the MBP option.

Thank you for the reply. However, I soon found a "Format" choice in the left column. I selected it, and instantly deleted over 100 "junk" files.

If you used the formats section in the tag browser, that would show you books that INCLUDE that format.

Those books may have additional formats. If you (the simple) deleted the books, you delete ALL Formats of that book

If you selece all (with that format) the right cleck and use the delete specific format, you have a winner

Alternatively, don't bother searching for anything, via the tag browser OR via handcrafted boolean operators (fun though they are).

Just CTRL+A (select all) and right-click Remove books ==> Remove files of a specific format from selected books.
It will popup with a choose dialog where you can select formats (with the number of occurrences listed in brackets) and you can select MBP. Exactly the same as any other process except you only do the step that is actually necessary....

MBP are not books. That is the format of the book information that is generated as you read a mobi, prc or azw book.

As to how to remove the files, on the Delete Books icon there is an option to "Remove files of a specific format from selected books...".

Highlight as many books as you like (or all books) and when you select this option you will see all file formats listed. Choose the mbp and ok. This will delete all mbp files from the selected books.
