It looks like gunzip is actually unzipping it to the file itself. If you go past the first few thousand bytes you can see files. In any case, I grabbed init.rc off my edge with adb. It's attached.

Substitute XXXX..XX with your serial number without BF. Remove extension .txt. Then execute adb push properties /sys/class/graphics/fb2/. from a directory where you have this file. You might need to gain RW permissions for that. |

First,
I suggest you start your own thread dedicated to your device. Info about your device spread all over the places and you hijacking somebody's else thread. Collect all info into that thread. It would be much easier for you and anybody having some ideas to test and share. Second, try to run start_epd.sh under /system/esi/bin and check results in /tmp/start.log. And don't reboot after running script. |

I did not hijacked the thread. The thread was about the serial.
my post is saying that I build the cable and worked, (i will send pics of my setup shortly, I used the cable from an old serial mouse). Also I reported than on my device did not worked forcing the update through. I thought was the right place to report my results, sorry if i disturbed anybody. I know the most knowledgeable people are here on this thread. Unfortunately my system is garbled badly. if anybody knows a way from forcing the update from the terminal I will really appreciate this. |
