The bootloader for the Touch (at least what the devs call "newer Touch") and Glo are identical. The only difference is the button, on the Touch it's the Home button on the Glo the Frontlight button.

If the factory reset works, the external boot should work as well. It's the same procedure, just with the card inserted and the keeping the power button pressed.

At least that's all I found in the u-boot sources...

Thank you for the explanations. The risk of an accidental factory rest is not very attractive.
