Clever John by Elizabeth Hoyt (no relation to Sarah), is a fairy tale short story meant as a preview teaser/excerpt [just checked the TOC and it's a full short story, followed by an excerpt] to an upcoming novel in her Maiden Lane series published by the Hachette group.

This comes with a special introduction by Hoyt regarding how fairy tales have influenced her writing or somesuch, which if you are a fan, you may be interested in reading.

Not in Canada, unfortunately. It gives me the "content currently unavailable" geo-restriction no-show message which explains why I couldn't find it earlier.

Well, Canadians can still get it via Amazon and sometimes Sony lifts the geo-restrictions on the promotional shorts like those Daniel O stories which are still on the first page.

Plus there's always the age-old tactic of lying to about your address.
