Question Export AZW3 to filesystem?

I've a comic in AZW3 format that I'd like to turn into a plain .CBZ / .CBR file.

Is there any way to export the `/images` folder of the AZW3?

If I use "Edit Ebook" I can browse the folders within the book, and I can individually save the images. What I *can't* do is select all the images and export them at once.

I ended up doing a conversion to ePub, using the Tablet setting so the files didn't resize, unzipping the ePub, and getting the images from there.

So, what's the easiest way to "unzip" an AZW3 file?

Thanks :-)

I would think the 'Unpack book' option is the fastest for epub/azw3/htmlz books.

Highlight book and press 'U' (without the quotes). You should get a file manager window opening and you can copy the relevant unpacked image directory using your Op. Sys.

For formats that use zip containers you could add an option to the built in Open With gadget to open the container -- e.g. EPUB, CBR, DOCX, ODT -- with your archive utility, PKzip, WinRAR, 7zip, whatever.

But not Kindle formats - NIH Syndrome strikes again.

That won't work. AZW is Mobipocket. Mobipocket does not use a ZIP container. KF8 also does not use a ZIP container.
