Kindle Previewer 2.94 weird problem

I can open my ePubs in every form of "device" . . . except the one I want: Voyager.

Unless I go to the cover. That's the only "page" it'll show without hanging or crashing, but as soon as I go to the next text page, it hangs and eventually gives me the "internal error" message.

Had to put a new HDD in my MacBook, so got High Sierra and redownloaded and installed the apps . . . it used to work, now it doesn't

Any suggestions? I hate 3.2 so please don't suggest that

Ugh, so I kind of answered my own question: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=281525

FWIW it's XQuartz 2.7.7 that is the last version that works for me.

...honestly, I'm the only person in the world with this problem?
