I have one and think it's a great device. I'd happily buy another Kobo product based on my experience with the Glo.

The 1100-3500 estimation is based on a reasonable 1MB-per-book estimate, which is a little on the large side... for books that are mostly text, which is where e-ink ereaders excel.

Anything larger than 1MB should probably be read on a tablet, unless it is simply one of those giant omnibus/collections that are tens of megabytes simply because they contain 50 books or so -- those are, technically, 50 books in one file.
No side loaded content. No PDFs. All books bought from Amazon. In the downloaded ones, there are no comics or travel companions or other stuff with graphics.
Purely text. Thrillers, self help, business, history, ...

Thanks.
Only the Kobo Touch Glowlight comes with an SD slot.
The newer Kobo Glowlight, for whatever reason, doesn't have the SD slot anymore.

There is no such thing as a "Kobo Touch Glowlight" or "Kobo Glowlight". The models are "Touch", "Mini", "Glo", "Aura" and "Aura HD".

The Glo, Aura and Aura HD are frontlit. All except the Mini have an external micro SD slot. All except the Aura, and the first version of the Touch, use an internal micro SD card for the main memory that can be removed.

You must be thinking of the NOOK ereaders.

Surprisingly enough: Kobo Aura HD. In general I despise it (ugly as hell), but in list view they show the file size and file format.

A few years ago, I probably would have done that.
Back then, I wanted to test all the features and hacks.
Nowadays, I want "plug and play" and not experiment.
All those units claim "no PC needed, working on its own", so having the the file size available on the reader should be a standard feature.

Interesting. I didn't know anyone would build that kind of view.

Just the Aura HD? Don't a bunch of Kobos share the same firmware? And anyway you'd think the same design scheme went into them all.

... I guess it must be some other models or something that does that? I just vaguely remember... something. I don't usually pay attention to Kobo -- I don't have one.

To be fair, this isn't a standard desire, so it is understandable that it is not a standard feature.

It works as advertized, according to most peoples' expectations.

The library list view shows the cover, title, series info, author, reading status (unread, finished or % read), ebook format (epub, PDF etc) and the file size. There are sort options for title, author, format, size and "Recent" (when last opened or put on the device).

There is also a details page for each book that shows most of the above plus the synopsis/description, rating, publisher and published date and the language.

Yes, they all use the same firmware and have the same function. A couple of them use a different version of the library list, but it displays the same information.
