How do I Ignore a device

I can see how to remove an ignore deviced, but how do I ignore the device? Every time plug my phone into my I end up with issues and want to have calibre ignore it, and help appreciate it

Preferences->Plugins->customize the MTP device plugin. In the ignored devices tab checkmark the device you want ignored.
