Ok. Thanks. I think my Fire tablet warns me at 15%, and I usually plugnit in them, but few times, I have plugged it in at 40-50%. I don't unplug it until I use it though.

It also fast charges to 80% and then slow charges until I remove it from the charger.
Ok, so I am doing better than I thought. So, I assume this applies to cell phones, tablets, laptops, Garmin, and other electronics?

Too bad the devices don't all have the workarounds.

Leaving it plugged in overnight is fine. Regularly letting it sit on the charger for days or weeks on end can damage the battery.

It shouldn't with properly designed gear, almost everything in last 15 to 20 years. The Li-Poly would go on fire if the internal charging circuit didn't disconnect it when full charge is reached (based on voltage and temperature).

But the idea of what was a safe maximum long term state of charge from a battery lifetime perspective was different 15 to 20 years ago.

I wasn't meaning over-charging or over-voltage, but holding charge at the top ~5% for a long while. I've seen many devices live a long time with good batteries that actually make use to their battery regularly, if not daily. The ones that live on a charger almost always have batteries that degrade or die.

I know I'm way late but in case any one else reads this thread. The problem with the Elipsa 2E official Kobo cover not having a stand (or protecting the back of the device) is something I overcame by buying a 3rd party cover on Amazon.

It fits perfectly, has a slot for the stylus, has a sleep/wake function, has an origami style stand, & is the closest thing I could find to the official case sold for the old Elipsa,(which I consider to be superior to the case sold for the 2E).

It is also 50 quid cheaper
