Found an Interesting Cover for the PB 302
Greetings,
Well, I couldn't quite figure out how to get the stock PB302 cover attached to the device, so I cast about for alternative ones. I had an old stock Kindle 1 cover laying around and, low and behold, it fits quite well. The dimensions are a perfect match and the elastic strap keeps the device in place. I wouldn't use it without my handy wrist strap but, then again, I don't use any of my ebook readers without the strap. See pictures below. Luqman |

NICE! Thanks for posting that, I'm glad there's an option besides the cover that ships with the device. I'm looking at amazon's selection of "kindle covers" and I'm not finding one with the fitted restraints on the lower left and lower right corners.
Is that an M-Edge cover? |

That's the cover you got for free with the Kindle 1, made by amazon.

Looks like the Kindle 1 is the closest in size from the popular ereaders I checked.
Kindle: 8.0 x 5.3 x 0.36 Kindle 1: 7.5 x 5.3 x 0.70 PB 302: 7.5 x 5.1 x 0.50 Nook: 7.7 x 4.9 x 0.50 prs-600: 6.9 x 4.8 x 0.40 Kobo: 7.2 x 4.7 x 0.40 |

I bought an M-Edge cover for the Kindle2. It's a bit larger than the PB302, but that's what I want in a protective cover. I plan to remove the spine-hinge unit and use sturdy velcro dots to affix the reader to the cover.

FYI, you can by this cover, the Amazon 1st Generation Kindle Replacement Book Cover, on Amazon for 9.99. Not a bad deal, I think.
