Free text to speech software for educational usage

Hello! I'm working at a tertiary institution, and need to create slides with voiceover for students. Am wondering whether there's an free text to speech software that is natural sounding, which I can use? Or if there's a payable software, is there one that is reasonably priced, with a range of natural sounding voices (good intotation) and speed control?

Thanks in advance and hope to hear from some of you soon!
