Writing accented characters (French/Spanish)

Hi everybody, I was wondering if anyone knows if there's a way to write special European chars on the kindle. My native language is Spanish, so my first concern was not being able to write properly, but now the situation is worse. I can't log in at some sites because my username contains an e with a circumflex (e^ - suppose the cap is over the e), and it's starting to get frustrating.

I would appreciate it very much if someone could tell me how to do it, or at least how to get around it

It should work using Sir Alex's keyboard localization hack.

Thanks janvanmaar! I was trying to avoid jailbreaking, but guess I'll have no chance if it gets too annoying.
